PCC Community Wellness Center to be Honored at The Boulevard of Chicago’s 2018 Gala

Chicago, IL – PCC Community Wellness Center (PCC) is being honored at The Boulevard of Chicago’s 2018 gala: Homelessness, A Health Issue. The gala will take place on Friday, June 1, at 6 p.m. with cocktails, dinner, a program, and dancing at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park, 200 N. Columbus Drive, Chicago, IL.

Chicago, IL – PCC Community Wellness Center (PCC) is being honored at The Boulevard of Chicago’s 2018 gala: Homelessness, A Health Issue. The gala will take place on Friday, June 1, at 6 p.m. with cocktails, dinner, a program, and dancing at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park, 200 N. Columbus Drive, Chicago, IL.

The Boulevard of Chicago, located at 456 W. Franklin Boulevard, Chicago, IL, is a homeless respite shelter that fills a critical gap in health care, housing, and social support services for homeless individuals who have been discharged from area hospitals and emergency shelters. PCC provides comprehensive primary care and integrated behavioral health services at PCC Clinic at The Boulevard, a health center exclusively for residents of The Boulevard.

The Boulevard and PCC have been collaborative partners sharing the mission of addressing the related issues of health and homelessness since 1999. “The Boulevard has a tremendous record for ending the cycle of homelessness for people, and has helped over 8,000 to date,” said Dr. Paul Luning, PCC’s Chief Medical Officer.

“Under the able direction of Dr. Sarah Carreon Walsh and a growing number of PCC staff and providers, we are truly an integral part of the healing that occurs at The Boulevard,” said Dr. Luning.

Tickets for the gala are $250 each and are available at http://www.blvd.org/. Raffle ticket purchases and charitable donations can also be done online. There will be a $5,000 cash raffle.
