Dr. Kawai received her medical education at St. George's University – School of Medicine in Grenada. She completed residency at the University of Florida. Prior to medicine, she taught music from elementary to high school. Dr. Kawai also holds a master’s degree in psychological counseling from Columbia University’s Teachers College. Dr. Kawai speaks both English and Japanese. In her leisure time, she enjoys music, running, and traveling.
