Medical Providers
  • Cecelia Bacom, CNM – Certified Nurse-Midwife (Female)

  • Ceal Bacom is a certified nurse-midwife who joined PCC in 2004. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature at the University of Virginia. She later obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Northwestern University and a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1988. She completed clinical rotations primarily at Cook County Hospital (now Stroger Hospital). She has extensive experience providing care for families both in and out of the hospital setting. Ceal has received numerous honors including an Award for Innovative Midwifery Care from the American College of Nurse-Midwives – Illinois Affiliate and the Joyce Roberts Award for Excellence in Midwifery. She is fluent in Spanish. In her leisure time, Ceal enjoys gardening, reading, and bike riding.



  • Yvette Gross, DO – Family Medicine Physician (Female)

  • Dr. Gross earned her medical degree from Michigan State University – College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015. She completed residency at Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency. Also, Dr. Gross participated in the Maternal Child Health Fellowship at PCC. Her medical interests include high-risk obstetrics, women's health, pediatrics, and opioid dependence. To enhance her capacity to care for patients, Dr. Gross has obtained licensing to provide Suboxone to patients addicted to opiates. Outside of medicine, she enjoys movies, great food, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.



  • Gina Marcin, CNM – Certified Nurse-Midwife (Female)

  • Gina Marcin is a certified nurse-midwife who completed her nursing education at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2013. With a background as an herbalist and acupuncturist, she treats mothers and families from a holistic perspective. Gina is dedicated to the midwifery model of care and is eager to support mothers in the out-of-hospital birth setting. For recreation, Gina enjoys camping, gardening, and fire-tending. Each year, she also co-organizes a medicinal herbal conference, The Midwest Herb Fest, in southern Indiana.



  • Natalie Parker-Renfroe, MD – Pediatrician (Female)

  • Specializing in pediatric care, Dr. Parker-Renfroe joined the PCC health care team in 2004. She earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago in 1992. Dr. Parker-Renfroe completed residency in pediatrics at Rush University. She is passionate about caring for children and adolescents and loves every stage of development. As they grow up, from infancy to adulthood, she participates in their milestones, completing physicals from elementary school to college. Also, she values her role in educating parents about health care. Outside of medicine, Dr. Parker-Renfroe enjoys attending comedy shows, listening to music, and spending time with her family and friends.



  • Jenna Pederson, APN – Family Nurse Practitioner (Female)

  • Jenna Pederson is an advanced nurse practitioner who completed her nursing education at Rush University in 2016. Prior to joining PCC in 2016, Pederson served as an emergency room nurse. Her other interests include running, baking, and traveling.



  • Maureen Ruder, MD – OB/GYN Physician (Female)

  • With a specialization in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Ruder is passionate about caring for women during pregnancy and childbirth. She earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. In 1986, Dr. Ruder completed residency at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago. Outside of medicine, she enjoys painting in color with acrylics, watching documentaries, taking short road trips, and exploring Chicago neighborhoods.



  • Ericka Sanders, MD – Family Medicine Physician, Fellow (Female)

  • Dr. Sanders received her medical training at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago in 2013. After completing residency in family medicine at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Dr. Sanders joined PCC in 2016. In her leisure time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.




Behavioral Health Providers
  • Gwendolyn Haywood, LCSW – Behavioral Health Consultant (Female)

  • Gwendolyn Haywood earned her Master of Social Work from George Williams College of Aurora University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who joined the PCC behavioral health care team in 2000. Prior to joining PCC, she worked as a supervisor for Illinois’ Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and lead investigator for Illinois’ Department of Consumer Protection (DCP). Outside of social work, Gwendolyn loves contemporary art.
