  • Birth Certificate Worksheet. Complete as much as possible and bring it in with you.
  • Comfy clothes for labor
  • Comfy clothes for after the birth
  • Something to wear in the tub, like a bathing suit top, if desired
  • Swimsuit for partner to wear in tub, if they would like
  • Breast pump, if you have one
  • Nutritious drinks for labor like juice and Gatorade
  • Snacks for labor and after birth
  • Snacks and meals for your support team
  • Everyone will be working hard and will get hungry and thirsty. A refrigerator and microwave are available for you to use while in the birth center. You and your birth team may be in the birth center for many hours, possibly for more than one meal time.

 

Things to bring for your new baby:

  • Baby clothes, hats, and blankets
  • Car seat for baby to go home in. Install it in the car at 37 weeks.

 

Items to prepare for your home:

  • Diapers and baby wipes
  • Nursing bra or tank tops
  • Nipple ointment/lanolin
  • Ibuprofen
  • Baby thermometer
  • Menstrual pads and/or disposable underwear
  • Easy to eat, healthy snacks
