Robert Urso PCC CEO

 Robert Urso, MS, MHA, BSN, President & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Urso has served as the President and CEO of PCC since 2001. He has extensive executive experience in the FQHC and community health center environment as well as in community and tertiary hospitals. His prior experience includes physician practice management and development, fiscal management, and managed care. In addition, Mr. Urso has served as an ambulatory care surveyor for JCAHO and was credentialed to survey community health centers. Mr. Urso completed the Johnson and Johnson/UCLA Health Care Executive Program in 2004, and in 2007 he completed a fellowship program through the Mid-America Regional Public Health Leadership Institute at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Lynn Hopkins PCC COO

 Lynn Hopkins, MS, Chief Operating Officer

Ms. Hopkins currently serves as the organization's Chief Operating Officer. She has been with PCC since 1994 and has extensive experience in program management, business development, grants management, and health center operations. She received her bachelor’s degree from DePaul University in Chicago and earned a Master of Science in Human Services Administration from Spertus College in Chicago. Ms. Hopkins has played an essential part in PCC’s growth and success, helping PCC attain 501(c)3 status and also securing PCC’s first Section 330 grant from the Bureau of Primary Health Care.

Paul Luning, MD, MPH, Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Luning currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer at PCC. He has been at PCC since 1995 when he joined the organization as a resident after completing medical school at the University of Chicago. He then went on to complete PCC’s Fellowship in Community Medicine. Dr. Luning then worked as the Director of Performance Improvement at PCC until accepting the CMO position. He has been instrumental in the development and implementation of many programs at PCC such as the Performance Improvement Program and PCC’s clinical program at Interfaith House, a local shelter for homeless individuals recovering from illness. Dr. Luning’s expertise in community health is highly sought after; he is often invited to deliver presentations to both state and local health agencies.

 Patrick Garrick, CPA, Chief Financial Officer

Patrick Garrick joined PCC in 2013 to serve as the Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Garrick received his Bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago and his Master's in Business Administration in Finance and Health Care from Dominican University. Mr. Garrick is a Certified Public Account and has over 25 years financial accounting and management experience in the health care field.

 Katherine Suberlak, LCSW, Chief Population Health Officer

Katherine Suberlak, LCSW, was appointed as PCC’s first Chief Population Health Officer in 2015. The Chief Population Health Officer is responsible for implementing and maintaining PCC’s Care Management program while enhancing PCC’s care coordination capabilities. Katherine joined PCC as an AmeriCorps member in 2004 and returned to the organization as a graduate of the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration. Ms. Suberlak created PCC’s integrated behavioral health programming in 2007 and is responsible for multiple clinical support service programs.
